Kit Creator vs Pro (2026): price difference at every list size, what Pro adds, and which to pick

Last verified against official pricing pages · published 2 Nov 2026

Prices change often. Each price was checked on the platform's official pricing page on the date shown; plans, promos and taxes vary. Confirm on the official site before you buy. Not financial advice.

Short answer: Kit Creator costs $39/month and Pro $79/month for up to 1,000 subscribers on monthly billing, so Pro is $40 more, and the gap grows with your list ($200/month at 105,000). Both send unlimited emails with unlimited automations and no Kit branding. Pro is for teams and data: unlimited users (Creator: 2), content A/B tests, deliverability and engagement reports, a referral program and Facebook ad audience sync. A solo newsletter rarely needs it.

Every rule on this page is from Kit's own pricing page and its Creator vs Pro help article, checked 2026-11-02. Prices from data/pricing.json (checked 2026-10-20; the monthly tiers matched Kit's pricing page again on 2026-11-02). USD. Monthly prices from Kit's tier table; yearly billing is "2 months free" (help) / "save 17%" (pricing page). Pro yearly is the per-month price Kit shows; the last column is Kit's limited-time "extra 25% off first year" total for Pro on yearly billing (the first year only, then the standard rate; Kit doesn't put an end date on the page). Each price covers up to that many subscribers; Kit moves you to the next tier automatically when you grow past it. Kit's Free plan ($0, up to 10,000 subscribers, 1 user, no automations or sequences) is covered in Kit Free plan.

From the feature table on Kit pricing and the Creator vs Pro help article. Kit says the included SparkLoop plan is "worth $99/mo"; that is Kit's figure and we haven't checked SparkLoop's own prices. Subscriber Signals is "available once your paid Pro plan begins", so not during the trial. "Partial" engagement analytics on Creator is the help article's wording; the pricing table marks it No.

What Creator and Pro both include

unlimited visual automations and email sequences; remove Kit branding; RSS campaigns; subscriber-time-zone scheduling and email version history; 100+ apps, the API and Kit MCP; paid newsletters, digital products, tip jars; Paid Recommendations and newsletter sponsorships; unlimited landing pages, forms and broadcasts; free migration from another platform; a 14-day free trial with no card. Sending is unlimited on every plan ("There are no sending limits on any of our plans").

Fees are the same on both: 3.5% + 30¢ per sale of a digital product or paid subscription, card processing included (also on Free), and a 23.5% Kit fee on Paid Recommendations earnings. On a $10 sale that is $0.65; on a $50 sale $2.05. For how that compares with Substack, beehiiv and Ghost, see best platform for paid newsletters.

FAQ

What is the difference between Kit Creator and Pro?

Both have Kit's full email toolkit: unlimited automations and sequences, no Kit branding, RSS campaigns, apps and API, paid newsletters and digital products. Pro adds team and analytics tools: unlimited users (Creator has 2), content A/B tests and up to 5 subject lines (Creator 2), collaborative editing, editing links after sending, deliverability reporting, the Insights dashboard, engagement scoring, Subscriber Signals, Facebook Custom Audiences sync, a SparkLoop referral program, a custom link-tracking domain, the Growth Concierge team and priority support.

How much is the Kit Creator plan?

$39 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers on monthly billing, or $390 a year on yearly billing ("2 months free"). The price rises with your subscriber count, e.g. $139/month at 10,000 and $679/month at 105,000 subscribers.

How much is Kit Pro?

$79 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers on monthly billing, $40 more than Creator. On yearly billing Kit shows $66/month, and right now a limited-time offer takes an extra 25% off the first year ($593 billed for the first year at 1,000 subscribers), after which it renews at the standard rate.

Is Kit Creator Pro the same as Pro?

Yes. Kit renamed its "Creator Pro" plan to "Pro"; some Kit help articles still use the old name.

Is Kit Pro worth it?

Only if you'll use what it adds. The clearest cases from Kit's own guidance: 3 or more people need logins, you want a referral program, you run Facebook ads to segments, or you need deliverability reports by inbox provider. If you're one or two people sending a newsletter with automations, Creator has the same sending, automation and selling features for $40/month less at 1,000 subscribers.

What fees does Kit charge on sales?

3.5% + 30¢ per transaction on digital products and paid subscriptions, on every plan including Free, and it already includes card processing. Paid Recommendations earnings carry a 23.5% Kit fee on Creator and Pro. There is no sending limit on any plan.

Can I switch between Creator and Pro?

Yes. Kit's help says you can upgrade or downgrade anytime in Settings → Account and Billing and the change takes effect immediately. If you are going down a subscriber tier after cleaning your list, the pricing FAQ says Kit's team does that by hand: email [email protected].
