Sender plans (2026): Free vs Standard vs Professional, the price at every list size and what each plan adds
Last verified against official pricing pages · published 4 Nov 2026
Prices change often. Each price was checked on the platform's official pricing page on the date shown; plans, promos and taxes vary. Confirm on the official site before you buy. Not financial advice.
Sender has three self-serve plans: Free ($0, 2,500 subscribers, 15,000 emails a month), Standard (from $9/mo) and Professional (from $15/mo), plus a custom-priced Enterprise plan and a Pay as you go option. The price of Standard and Professional depends on your subscriber tier (500 to 2,000,000), and the tier also sets your email allowance: 12 emails per subscriber a month on Standard, 24 on Professional. Frequent senders usually pay less on a bigger Standard tier than on Professional; the exception is small lists.

List price → promo price, USD, paid upfront, from the plan catalogue checked 2026-11-04. The pricing page labels the 30% yearly saving "For all users, only on Black Friday" and the 24-month one "40% off Standard and 60% off Professional. For first-time users only." No end date is shown, and Sender doesn't say what the 24-month plan renews at.
The banner says 24 months costs "less than ten months' worth". That is true for Professional (60% off = 9.6 months' price) but not for Standard, where 40% off works out to 14.4 months' price for 24 months (our calculation).
Which plan is cheapest for how often you send
Each tier gives Standard 12 emails and Professional 24 emails per subscriber a month, with no daily sending limit. If you send more than 12 emails a month to everyone, Standard forces you up to a bigger subscriber tier. You might expect Professional to win there, but a bigger Standard tier is usually still cheaper: 50,000 subscribers emailed every weekday need 1,100,000 emails a month, which is Standard 100k at $389 against Professional 50k at $460. In our grid Professional only comes out cheaper for a 1,000-subscriber list sent 16 to 24 emails a month (Professional 1k $20 vs Standard 2.5k $27; up to 15 a month fits Free) and, by $2, for 5,000 subscribers emailed daily. Bold = Professional is cheapest.

Our calculation: the cheapest Free, Standard or Professional tier whose subscriber limit covers your list and whose monthly allowance covers list × sends, USD on monthly billing, from the catalogue prices above. "Standard 20k" means the Standard plan for 20,000 subscribers. Automations and auto-resends use the same allowance, so leave headroom.

Pay as you go vs a subscription
Pay as you go sells email credits with no subscription: 5,000 for $29, 10,000 for $57, 20,000 for $97, 50,000 for $167, 100,000 for $277, 250,000 for $547, 500,000 for $947, 1,000,000 for $1,697 (a 5,000,000-email pack for $4,995 is also in the catalogue). Credits don't expire, subscribers are unlimited and there's no Sender branding; SMS, advanced automation, advanced editor features, priority support and dedicated IPs are not included.

| 50,000 × 12/yr | 600,000 | $1,224 | $3,108 | $2,175.60 |
Our calculation: the cheapest mix of Pay as you go packs that covers a year's emails, against the smallest Standard tier for the list, USD. Lists of up to 2,500 sending up to 15,000 emails a month fit the Free plan. Sender warns that buying credits while on a subscription doesn't add them to the plan: it switches the account to Pay as you go.

Where Sender's own pages disagree
- Free SMS credits on Professional: the comparison table says they equal "your monthly subscription fee". The plan card shows "Free SMS ($6/month)" at 500 subscribers, which is the 24-month promo price, not the $15 list price; the SMS help article gives "$20/month on the 1k plan" and "$320/month on the 30k plan" (list prices), and the High-Volume page "$1775/month" at 225,000. Whether the credit follows the list or the discounted price isn't stated. The credits expire after one month.
- Email allowance: the pricing page and most help articles say 12× and 24× your subscriber tier. The campaign sending limits article says "Standard includes up to 12,000, and Professional includes up to 24,000", which are only the 1,000-subscriber figures.
- Smallest tier: the pricing help article says Standard and Professional start at 1k subscribers; the pricing page and catalogue start at 500 ($9 and $15).
- Who gets the yearly discount: the billing toggle says 30% "For all users, only on Black Friday"; in October our record of the same page said 30% off the first year for first-time users, and the billing overview says annual billing "always offers a discount" without a number. What a yearly plan renews at after the promo isn't on the page.
- Webhooks on Free: the table gives Free 1 event webhook in the Transactional Emails section and "No" webhooks in the Integrations section.
- Dedicated IP: the Professional card says "Dedicated IPs available on 20 000 subscriber plans and above", the table says "1 included*" on Professional, and the FAQ says one is set up for Professional accounts on request at no extra cost and recommended above 500,000 emails a month.
- When a downgrade takes effect: the pricing help article says it "typically takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle"; the upgrading or downgrading article says the new plan's features, email credits and subscriber limits take effect immediately and the remaining value of the old plan is lost.
- Currencies: the help articles mention only USD and EUR; the pricing page also shows GBP and AUD.
How Sender billing works
- Limits: two counters per billing period: active subscribers (your list minus unsubscribed, bounced and spam-reported) and unique subscribers emailed, both capped at your tier (help article). Deleting 10,000 contacts and importing 10,000 new ones can use up a 10,000 tier's unique-subscriber limit for the month.
- Going over: no overage fees. Campaigns stop until the next period, an early renewal or an upgrade. On Free, more than 2,500 active subscribers blocks sending entirely (help article).
- Upgrading: new limits apply immediately; the remaining value of your current plan is deducted from the new plan's charge. Card or PayPal.
- Downgrading: the remaining value of the bigger plan is forfeited, not refunded or credited; Sender recommends downgrading just before renewal.
- Cancelling: paid features last until the "valid until" date, then the account moves to Free; unused email credits are permanently removed (help article). Plans auto-renew until you cancel.
- Refunds: only if Sender terminates your service without cause; billing disputes in writing within 30 days (refund policy).
- SMS: Standard buys prepaid SMS credits (price by destination country); Professional gets free monthly credits that don't roll over; Free and Pay as you go have no SMS.
- Not stated: the renewal price after the 24-month promo, Enterprise pricing (yearly billing only, "Get a Demo") and the VAT amount.
Which plan should you pick?
- Free if you have up to 2,500 subscribers, send up to 15,000 emails a month (about 6 sends to a full list) and can live with Sender branding and one user.
- Pay as you go if your list is bigger but you email it monthly or less: credits don't expire, and a year of monthly emails to 5,000 people costs $224 against $468 for 12 months of Standard.
- Standard for regular newsletters (up to 12 emails per subscriber a month) without the branding, with SMS, A/B tests and custom-domain landing pages.
- Professional if you need SMS automation, free monthly SMS credits, more than 3 users, advanced automation or reports, or a dedicated IP, or if you email about 1,000 subscribers 16 to 24 times a month. For pure sending volume on bigger lists, a larger Standard tier is usually cheaper (see the frequency table).

FAQ
What are Sender's plans?
Free ($0, up to 2,500 subscribers and 15,000 emails a month, 1 seat, Sender branding), Standard (from $9/month for 500 subscribers, emails = 12× your subscriber tier, 3 seats, no branding, SMS, A/B tests), Professional (from $15/month, 24× emails, 10 seats, free monthly SMS credits, advanced automation and reports, priority support) and Enterprise (custom price, unlimited emails, billed yearly). There is also a Pay as you go option: email credits from $29 for 5,000 emails, no subscription.
How much does Sender cost per month?
On monthly billing Standard is $9 for 500 subscribers, $15 for 1,000, $39 for 5,000, $69 for 10,000 and $259 for 50,000. Professional is $15, $20, $79, $127 and $460 at the same sizes. VAT is added on top depending on your country.
What is the difference between Sender Standard and Professional?
Professional doubles the monthly email allowance (24× instead of 12× your subscriber tier) and adds 10 seats instead of 3, free monthly SMS credits, SMS automation, advanced automation, countdown timer and feedback blocks, reports by group and inbox provider, longer log retention, priority support and a dedicated IP. It costs $6 more at 500 subscribers, $5 more at 1,000 and $58 more at 10,000.
Is Sender really free?
The Free plan has no end date and needs no credit card: up to 2,500 active subscribers and 15,000 emails a month, with Sender branding on emails and forms and 1 user. New accounts get a 14-day Professional trial that falls back to Free automatically. If your active subscribers go over 2,500 you can't send any campaign until you clean the list or upgrade.
Does Sender have a yearly or Black Friday discount?
On 2026-11-04 the pricing page offered 30% off 12 months "for all users, only on Black Friday" and, for first-time users only, 40% off 24 months of Standard and 60% off 24 months of Professional, paid upfront. Example at 500 subscribers: Standard $216 → $129.60 for 2 years, Professional $360 → $144. Sender doesn't state the price after the 24 months.
What is Sender Pay as you go?
You buy email credits instead of a subscription: 5,000 emails for $29, 10,000 emails for $57, 20,000 emails for $97, 50,000 emails for $167, up to 1,000,000 for $1,697. Credits don't expire, subscribers are unlimited and there's no Sender branding, but no SMS, advanced automation or priority support. If you email a list of a few thousand only monthly or quarterly it's usually much cheaper than Standard. Buying credits while on a subscription switches your account to Pay as you go.
What happens if I go over my Sender limits?
Sender doesn't charge overage: when you run out of emails or reach your unique-subscriber limit for the month, campaigns stop until the next billing period, until you renew early or until you upgrade (the new limit applies immediately). Scheduling a campaign reserves its emails up front. Automation emails and auto-resends count toward the same monthly allowance.
Can I cancel Sender and get a refund?
You can cancel any time from Billing: you keep the paid plan until the "valid until" date and then drop to Free, and unused email credits are lost. Refunds are only given if Sender ends your service without cause; unused or partly used plans, forgotten cancellations and wrong-plan purchases aren't refunded, and disputes must be made in writing within 30 days.
