Source: the feature tables on beehiiv.com/pricing, checked 2026-11-02. Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, audit logs, dedicated IPs, S3 data sync and a customer success manager.
On every plan: unlimited sends, the post editor and templates, a hosted website, a podcast, a community, digital products (1 on Free), the recommendation network, API access (excluding the Send API) and data exports. What changes as you move up is limits, monetization, automation and support.
Which plan should you pick?
- Free if you have under 2,500 subscribers, run a free newsletter and don't need automations, paid subscriptions or your own domain. Details: beehiiv Free plan.
- Lite if you want to charge readers (one paid tier), earn from the Ad Network or paid recommendations, run up to 10 automations, use a custom domain or need 2 seats, and can live with beehiiv branding. It's the cheapest paid plan at every size up to 100,000.
- Pro if you need any one of: no beehiiv branding, more than one paid tier, more than 10 automations, more than 3 webhooks or the Send API, more than 2 seats or 3 publications, the sponsorship storefront, RSS to Send, or a list above 100,000 subscribers. If none of those apply, Pro's extra $50–$230 a month buys nothing you'd use.
- Enterprise only if you need SSO, dedicated IPs or custom limits; the price is set by sales.

Trial, upgrades, downgrades and pauses
- Trial: a 14-day free trial of Pro features, no credit card. Your account stays on Free with Pro features switched on. Not in the trial: custom domains, multiple publications or users, paid subscriptions, paid recommendations, newsletter lists, RSS to Send, the sponsorship storefront, site redirects and custom fonts.
- Upgrading: Settings → Billing & Plan → Change, paid through Stripe checkout. Promo codes are entered at that step; prepaid cards are not accepted. An optional auto-upgrade moves you to the next tier (prorated) when your list grows; without it, sends over your limit may be delayed.
- Downgrading: takes effect at the end of the billing period; switching from annual to monthly starts when the annual term ends. On Free, automations are turned off (kept as drafts), webhooks disabled, redirects stopped and extra custom pages unpublished.
- Pausing: monthly plans can be paused for up to 30 days (you get Free features meanwhile); annual plans can't be paused.

Where beehiiv's own pages disagree
We don't pick a side when beehiiv's pages conflict. Here is what each says:
- Custom domains on Free: the Free plan summary on the pricing page lists "Custom Domains", but the feature table marks custom domains from Lite, and the trial article lists them as paid only. The downgrade article says domains you already connected stay connected on Free, but you can't add new ones. Plan on needing Lite for a new domain.
- Webhooks: the Pro card and the pricing blog list webhooks as a Pro addition, but the feature table gives Lite 3 webhooks and Pro unlimited.
- Yearly saving: the pricing FAQ says "up to 20%" and the blog "up to two months free". On the listed prices the saving is 12.7%–16.9%.
- Trial: the pricing FAQ says Lite and Pro include a free trial that "ends when you upgrade"; the help center describes one 14-day trial of Pro. The pricing page marks the Send API "not in trial", while the trial article lists it as usable during the trial.
- Above 250,000 subscribers: the plan table and blog put Pro at up to 250,000 with Enterprise beyond. beehiiv's own pricing assistant (MCP) quotes Pro at $999/mo for 300,000 ("250,000+"). Expect to talk to sales above 250,000.
- Digital products: the Lite card lists "Digital Products" as a Lite addition, but the feature table gives Free 1 product, and the FAQ says digital products are on every plan.
- Counting subscribers: the pricing FAQ counts "unique email addresses subscribed to your publication"; the plan-types article sets your tier by active subscribers across all publications in the workspace.

FAQ
What are the beehiiv plans?
Free (up to 2,500 subscribers, $0), Lite (up to 100,000 subscribers, from $59 a month), Pro (up to 250,000, from $109 a month) and Enterprise (custom price, sales only). Lite and Pro are priced by list size: you pay for the tier that covers your active subscribers across all your publications.
What happened to the beehiiv Launch, Scale and Max plans?
beehiiv renamed them on October 1, 2026: Launch became Free, Scale became Lite and Max became Pro (Enterprise kept its name). New prices apply to new customers from October 1, 2026 and to existing customers at their first renewal on or after November 1, 2026; monthly customers get at least 30 days' notice and annual customers keep their price until the term ends. See the beehiiv price increase for old vs new prices.
What is the difference between beehiiv Lite and Pro?
Pro removes beehiiv branding and lifts most limits: 250,000 subscribers (Lite 100,000), 10 seats (2), 10 publications (3), unlimited paid tiers (1), unlimited live automations (10), unlimited webhooks (3), unlimited analytics history (12 months). It also adds the sponsorship storefront, paid trials, group subscriptions, newsletter lists, RSS to Send, audio newsletters, dynamic content, webinars and coaching, the Send API and priority support.
How much more does beehiiv Pro cost than Lite?
$50 to $230 a month on monthly billing, depending on list size: +$50 at 1,000 subscribers, +$100 at 10,000 and +$230 at 100,000. Above 100,000 only Pro is sold, up to $999 a month at 250,000.
Can I charge for my newsletter on the beehiiv Free plan?
No. Paid subscriptions start on Lite (1 paid tier) and Pro (unlimited tiers). beehiiv takes 0% on both; you pay Stripe's fees (beehiiv quotes 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, and Stripe also charges its Billing fee on recurring payments).
Does beehiiv have a free trial?
Yes. beehiiv's help center describes a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan with no credit card; the pricing page FAQ says "Lite and Pro include a free trial". Some features are not available during the trial, including custom domains, paid subscriptions, paid recommendations and the sponsorship storefront. If you don't upgrade, the account stays on Free.
How much do you save with yearly billing on beehiiv?
On the prices beehiiv publishes, 12.7% to 16.9% depending on plan and tier (for example $588 a year instead of $708 for Lite at 1,000). beehiiv's pricing FAQ says "up to 20%" and its blog says "up to two months free"; we show the figure calculated from the listed prices.
What happens when I downgrade beehiiv?
You keep your current plan until the end of the billing period. If you drop to Free, automations are turned off (kept as drafts), webhooks are disabled, site redirects stop, custom pages beyond one are unpublished and you can't add new custom domains (existing ones stay connected). Monthly plans can also be paused for up to 30 days instead.
