Short answer: On published cost, GetResponse Starter undercuts Mailchimp Essentials at every list size we checked (at 5,000 contacts, weekly: $54/mo vs Mailchimp $75), but Brevo Starter ($32) and often MailerLite Comfort ($49) are cheaper on weekly sends. Free can send — 500 contacts / 2,500 newsletters a month — larger than Mailchimp Free. Paid Starter starts at $19/mo and includes unlimited email sends, so high send frequency does not bump the Starter bill the way it does on Mailchimp or Brevo.
Prices from GetResponse, Mailchimp, Brevo and MailerLite (GetResponse tiers re-checked live 2026-11-06; matched our 2026-11-03 snapshot), monthly billing, cheapest plan that covers the list at 4 emails/month. GetResponse rules from its pricing page and how pricing works, Free account limits, list size limit and premium newsletters (checked 2026-11-06). GetResponse has no affiliate deal with us — plain links, no “paid link” labels.
