Omnisend has three plans: Free (up to 250 contacts and 500 emails a month), Standard from $16/mo with 12 emails per contact a month, and Pro from $59/mo with unlimited emails and access to SMS (billed separately). Both paid plans are priced by your billable contacts, which include shoppers who never subscribed. Pro costs $9 to $458 a month more than Standard at the same list size.

| 150,000 | $1,456 | 1,800,000 | $1,914 | +$458 |
USD, monthly, excluding VAT, from the price table behind Omnisend's pricing page, checked 2026-11-03; it matches our price data (checked 2026-11-03). Pro's lowest price covers up to 2,500 contacts. Pro emails are unlimited (fair use). Above 150,000 contacts Omnisend quotes a custom price. The "costs more by" column is our subtraction. Cheaper options at your size: the calculator.
When Pro is worth it
Standard gives you 12 emails per contact per billing cycle, counting campaigns and automations together: about 3 a week to everyone. Pro removes that cap (Omnisend's fair use goes up to 60× your list) and is the only plan where new accounts can send SMS. The price gap is smallest at 4,501–5,000 contacts: $81 vs $90, only $9 more. Below 2,500 contacts you pay Pro's 2,500-contact price ($59), so the gap is widest relative to Standard ($16 at 500). From 50,000 contacts up, Pro costs 1.31 to 1.74 times Standard (our calculation from the table below).
- Weekly newsletter plus a few automated emails: about 4 newsletters a month leaves room inside Standard's 12.
- Daily or near-daily sends (20 to 30 a month): beyond Standard's 12, so you'd need Pro. Omnisend doesn't publish a way to buy extra emails on Standard.
- SMS: Pro only for accounts that started paying on or after May 4, 2026.
Pay 3 months upfront: 30% off once
When you first upgrade from Free, you can pick "Pay 3 months upfront" at checkout and get 30% off those three months. It can be used only once, and afterwards the regular monthly price applies. There's no yearly plan.
| Contacts | Standard, first 3 months | Pro, first 3 months |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | $11.20 ($33.60 for 3) | $41.30 ($123.90 for 3) |
| 2,500 | $30.80 ($92.40 for 3) | $41.30 ($123.90 for 3) |
| 10,000 | $92.40 ($277.20 for 3) | $105 ($315 for 3) |
| 50,000 | $289.10 ($867.30 for 3) | $500.50 ($1,501.50 for 3) |
Per month after the 30% discount, with the 3-month total in brackets: our calculation from the list prices above. Omnisend's own example (pricing plans help article): Standard $11.20/month, $33.60 instead of $48; Pro $41.30/month, $123.90 instead of $177. If your list grows during the 3 months, your tier can still change (see billing rules).

The rows where the plans differ in the comparison table on Omnisend's pricing page, checked 2026-11-03. "—" means the table shows the feature as not included. Standard add-ons (Personalized Content, Personalized Sending Time, Forms Plus) start "from $5/month", priced by your contact tier, and are included on Pro. SMS on Omnisend since May 2026
If you subscribed to a paid plan on or after May 4, 2026, SMS is only available on Pro, as a separate SMS Credits Subscription with no included credits. The more you spend on SMS each month, the less each message costs:
| Monthly SMS spend | US price per SMS |
|---|---|
| $10–$49.99 | $0.009 |
| $50–$999.99 | $0.0085 |
| $1,000–$9,999.99 | $0.008 |
| $10,000+ | $0.007 |
US recipients, from Omnisend's pricing plans article, checked 2026-11-03; other countries have their own rates. Credits expire after 60 days; MMS is US and Canada only. Standard and Free accounts that already had an active SMS subscription before May 4, 2026 keep legacy rates (from $10/month) while they keep it active. Legacy Pro was retired on October 26, 2026 and moved to the current Pro. Omnisend says temporary price protection for six months may apply where that raised the cost by more than 20%. What Brevo, Mailchimp and Klaviyo charge per text: cheapest SMS marketing platform.
Omnisend vs Klaviyo on price
Omnisend's pricing page says "Save up to 35% vs. Klaviyo", based on May 2026 rates and comparing Standard with Klaviyo's Email plan. With both companies' current price tables (checked 2026-11-03), the gap is wider at some sizes and narrower at others:
| Contacts | Omnisend Standard | Omnisend Pro | Klaviyo Email | Standard cheaper by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $16 | $59 | $20 | 20% |
| 1,000 | $20 | $59 | $30 | 33% |

| 5,000 | $81 | $90 | $100 | 19% |
| 10,000 | $132 | $150 | $150 | 12% |
| 15,000 | $207 | $348 | $350 | 41% |
| 25,000 | $282 | $400 | $400 | 30% |
| 50,000 | $413 | $715 | $720 | 43% |
| 100,000 | $900 | $1,334 | $1,380 | 35% |
| 150,000 | $1,456 | $1,914 | $1,955 | 26% |
Our calculation, from monthly USD list prices for email only, with SMS and add-ons excluded. Klaviyo's tiers come from its pricing page. Klaviyo includes 10 sends per profile, Omnisend Standard 12, and Pro is unlimited. Omnisend Pro costs $0 to $46 less than Klaviyo from 2,500 contacts up. Both count shoppers who didn't opt in. All 63 tiers from the script behind Omnisend's pricing calculator, checked 2026-11-03. The table also lists Standard at $16 for 0–250 contacts, if you want paid features on a list Free would cover. One step looks odd but is what Omnisend's table says: 13,501–15,000 contacts cost $207, $1 more than 13,001–13,500. The calculator also shows prices in EUR, GBP, AUD and CAD, but they are the USD price times a fixed rate, which the page calls estimates; you are billed in USD.
Where Omnisend's own pages disagree
- Is everything on Free? The pricing-page FAQ says Free gives "all the features of our paid plans", "including SMS", and the help article says Free can "use all Omnisend features". The comparison table on the same page shows Free without SMS, custom workflows, Forms AI or Social Capture and with Omnisend branding required, and the help article says SMS isn't available on Free for new accounts. We follow the table.
- SMS credits on Pro. The pricing-page FAQ says Pro includes "bonus SMS credits equal to your monthly bill". The help article says SMS on Pro is a separate subscription with "no included credits". We follow the help article, which reflects the May 4, 2026 change.
- Account expert. The pricing-page FAQ lists "priority support from a dedicated account expert" as a Pro benefit. Elsewhere on the same page and in the help article, an account expert is for any Standard or Pro account paying $400/month or more. On Pro that starts at 23,501 contacts ($400); on Standard at 45,001 contacts.
- Personalized product recommender and sending time. The comparison table's Email Builder rows show them as Pro only, while its automation rows, the Standard plan card and the help article offer them on Standard as add-ons.
- Going over the email limit. The pricing FAQ says you'll be offered an upgrade you must confirm. The help article adds that on Standard you can't send campaigns, and contacts are cancelled from automations, until the cycle renews or you upgrade.
- "Unlimited" on Pro comes with a fair-use policy that the pricing page puts at up to 60× your list a month.
How Omnisend billing works
- Who counts: subscribers to email, SMS or push, plus non-subscribers who can get automated messages (orders without marketing opt-in, abandoned carts, store accounts, imports without an opt-in date). Unsubscribed contacts don't count. Help
- Automatic tiers: your tier follows your billable contacts every billing cycle, up and down. Removing contacts lowers the price at the next cycle. You can upload any number of contacts, but importing before your first campaign may prompt an upgrade.
- Plan changes: upgrades are prorated and restart your billing cycle. Cancelling the paid plan moves you to Free at the end of the cycle. A freeze costs $50 + VAT once and keeps your data for 12 months.
- Currency and payment: charged in USD to a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card, with VAT not included (Discover, Diners, JCB and UnionPay aren't accepted). Fixed-tier plans with a "contact reach" limit are a beta for some accounts.
- Help moving: free Kickstart Migration for brands with more than 250 contacts. An account expert comes with $400/month or more.
Which plan should you pick?
- Free to try Omnisend with up to 250 contacts and 500 emails a month. The branding stays, and there's no SMS or custom workflows.
- Standard for most stores and newsletters: email and automations up to 12 sends per contact a month, with branding removable.
- Pro if you send more than 12 emails per contact a month, want SMS, or want dynamic content and advanced reporting without add-ons. It's cheapest relative to Standard around 5,000 contacts.
- A cheaper tool if you only send a newsletter: Omnisend is built for ecommerce. Compare in Omnisend alternatives.

FAQ
What are the Omnisend plans?
Three: Free ($0, up to 250 contacts and 500 emails a month), Standard (from $16/month for 500 contacts, with 12 emails per contact a month) and Pro (from $59/month, which covers up to 2,500 contacts, with unlimited emails under a fair-use policy and access to SMS). Paid prices rise with your billable contacts up to 150,000; above that Omnisend quotes a custom price.
How much does Omnisend cost per month?
Standard, in USD: $16 for 500 contacts, $20 for 1,000, $44 for 2,500, $81 for 5,000, $132 for 10,000, $282 for 25,000, $413 for 50,000 and $900 for 100,000. Pro: $59 up to 2,500, $90 for 5,000, $150 for 10,000, $400 for 25,000 and $715 for 50,000. Billing is monthly in USD, excluding VAT.
Is there an Omnisend discount?
Yes, once: if you pay 3 months upfront on your first upgrade to a paid plan, those 3 months are 30% off. Omnisend's example: Standard at $11.20/month ($33.60 instead of $48) and Pro at $41.30/month ($123.90 instead of $177). After 3 months the regular monthly price applies. There is no yearly plan on the pricing page.
What is the difference between Omnisend Standard and Pro?
Pro adds unlimited email sends (Standard: 12 per contact a month), SMS and MMS, dynamic content, the personalized product recommender, personalized sending time and advanced reporting. On Standard some of those are add-ons from $5/month. Pro costs $9 to $458 a month more, depending on your list size.
Does Omnisend count customers who did not subscribe?
Yes. Billable contacts are subscribers plus non-subscribers who can still get automated messages, such as shoppers who ordered without ticking "Accept marketing" or abandoned a cart. Only unsubscribed contacts don't count, and each contact counts once.
Is SMS included in Omnisend?
Not as included credits. Since May 4, 2026, new paid accounts need Pro to buy an SMS Credits Subscription, with US rates from $0.009 down to $0.007 per SMS depending on monthly spend. Free and Standard can't send SMS unless they kept a legacy SMS subscription from before May 4, 2026. Omnisend's pricing-page FAQ still mentions "bonus SMS credits equal to your monthly bill" on Pro; its help center says there are no included credits.
What happens if I go over my Omnisend email limit?
Omnisend emails you and offers an upgrade, which you must confirm. Until then, according to its help center, on Standard you can't send campaigns and contacts are removed from automations until your cycle renews or you upgrade. Pro has no fixed limit (fair use up to 60× your list).
Can I downgrade or pause Omnisend?
Yes. Cancelling the paid plan returns you to Free at the end of the billing cycle. Or freeze the account for a one-off $50 + VAT, which keeps your data for 12 months. Your tier also drops automatically when your billable contacts fall, at the next billing cycle.
